My plan

Over £70 million has been provided to protect local jobs during the pandemic. As society
reopens again,

I am working with small and large businesses, such as Blackpool Tower, to help businesses bounce back stronger. And create new job opportunities for local people.

I’ve helped deliver £39.5 million in Government regeneration funding already.

And I’m working on securing millions more so that we can regenerate Blackpool. Improving those areas which need attention, helping to put pride back in our community and creating new jobs and investment.

I’m bidding for Government funding to improve the infrastructure at Blackpool Airport as part of my plan to bring back commercial passenger flights.

I’ve also secured funding to look at doubling the number of trains coming into south Blackpool.

Our local NHS has performed miracles during the pandemic. I will ensure first class health care for you and your family when you need it.

We are delivering more doctors and nurses in Blackpool. And already over £15m has been spent on A&E upgrades at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

I’ll continue to organise regular litter picks and beach cleans.

And I will challenge the Council to do more to clear the litter and overgrowing weeds from our streets.

I’ve managed to help secure over £4.8 million in extra funding for project ADDER: a tough new approach to drugs crime in Blackpool.

This includes tacking the criminal gangs who bring misery to our streets.

Recent improvements at Victoria Hospital such as the new stroke clinic, and mental health decision unit, are already delivering better health services for local people. An extra £394 million a week for our NHS will help to further improve our local health services.

We are taking back control of our laws, money and borders. But Brexit needs to work for Blackpool. 

Parts of our town centre are in need of a re-vamp. We’ve had a Labour MP & Labour Council for years, who have failed to make the changes our town centre needs. We need to fill the empty shops, tackle anti-social behaviour, and help homeless people off the streets.
