Blackpool MP Scott Benton has called upon Government Ministers to take action to reduce delays that some dental patients are experiencing locally.
The local MP stated:
I have been contacted by a number of my constituents who are worried about delays to dental treatment due to changes to the working practices of some dental clinics and surgeries in Blackpool.”
I have communicated my constituent’s concerns to Government Ministers and had a recent meeting with the Dentistry Minister, Maria Caulfield MP. She assured me that a new dental access initiative will soon be finalised which will relieve local pressures and any backlogs that could build up.
I hope to announce the details of the new Dental access initiative within the next few weeks. If you need dental treatment or have any queries in the meantime, you can call or contact the NHS by calling 0300 1234 010 or 111 or by visiting 111.nhs.uk NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
