Blackpool MP Scott Benton has called upon Government Ministers to take action to reduce delays that some dental patients are experiencing locally.
The local MP stated:
I have been contacted by a number of my constituents who are worried about delays to dental treatment due to changes to the working practices of some dental clinics and surgeries in Blackpool.”
I have communicated my constituent’s concerns to Government Ministers and had a recent meeting with the Dentistry Minister, Maria Caulfield MP. She assured me that a new dental access initiative will soon be finalised which will relieve local pressures and any backlogs that could build up.
I hope to announce the details of the new Dental access initiative within the next few weeks.
